The Orfalea Fund
Established in 2003, the Orfalea Fund, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation, is a supporting organization of the Santa Barbara Foundation. The Orfalea Fund’s mission is to support organizations and projects which:
- Enhance young people’s lives by contributing to quality education, healthy development, and nurturing environments;
- Improve and enrich education and services through community programs;
- Encourage family values; bring together generations; and provide opportunities to those less privileged and those facing learning challenges.
The Orfalea Fund's Fields of Interest within Santa Barbara, Ventura and San Luis Obispo Counties are:
- Early Care (0-5 years)
- Education (Elementary through College)
- Experiential Enrichment
- Learning Differences
- Critical Community Needs
